"I will help others so I can earn money"- this was the exact statement that my eldest son says when we are talking about helping others. Then I say and explain to him that if he wants to help, do it with all his heart, don't expect something in return. If they return the favor, then be thankful, but if they don't still be thankful that you are able to help others.
