The "NOW" So, what do you do when you remember events that took place in the past? What do you do when an awful past event flash through your mind? How about sweet memories, when you remember memories you never wanted to end. What do you do? How about the future? When you think about what the near future has in store for you, what comes to your mind. Most times, we are so infused to events that have happened in the past and events that will happen in the future that we often forget about the present. Hey, do you know that it is the present that becomes the future and it is the same present that turns to memories? Or are yet to come to that discovery? We may be so overwhelmed by what happened and what will happen that we neglect entirely what is happening thereby caging ourselves in the dreadful prison of "was" and "will". Yes! Just as the "was" and the "will" is important, the "is" is even more important because it is this "is" that turns to "was"and the "will" must always become "is". The future will never remain in the future, it will always turn to "now" and eventually to "was". So why bother yourself about the "was" and the "will" when the "is" is not yet over. The moment we fail to recognize the "now" and choose rather to tell tales of the past and plan what will be, we will always be ignorant of what is happening. While we are busy recounting the past and planning the future, the present soon becomes the past and the future, present. Thus, it continues till our "NOW" is no more. Live in the NOW Do not dwell in the past Do not expect too much from the future The future is NOW Hold firm to the present.
