One lesson I’ve learned the hard way, throughout my life, is that selfish people put themselves first. They often don’t listen to what your heart has to say. And you’ll end up giving them more than they’ll ever wish to offer to you. Your profound soul is invisible to them, as depth doesn’t ever grow in shallow water.
