What do you understand? It is funny how so many live their lives searching for that acceptance from others. Just wanting to be understood. But what if we finally acknowledge that no one really truly understand us? What if, right? What I mean is people only understand us to a point because of their own experiences. Their own perceptions. Their own understanding. You can’t make someone completely understand you if they don’t really know the life long experiences you have had to make you become who you are today. There is only one person that can completely understand you and that is YOU. But unfortunately most don’t try to look within with understanding. Most spend all their energy trying to make others understand them and receive some kind of acceptance from them. All the while never truly understanding themselves. We have to learn to accept ourselves before we can truly understand what acceptance is. And even then it is not complete acceptance from others just because they will never understand us completely. For no one thinks the same, therefore no one is the same. Different lives, different experiences, different perceptions. There is some understanding between individuals but not complete understanding. Not like what you can achieve with yourself. To completely understand yourself is definitely a type of unconditional love we desire. To know we are not perfect and have flaws and to accept them. For our flaws are what makes us unique and special. Try to understand yourself before trying to understand others. Learning that type of acceptance only helps you accept others and be ok on whether you are accepted by others. This is true understanding.
