"Assurance hits different when it's not asked for." Assurance is something we crave for at midnight when the moon tells us bedtime stories about doubt. It is another way of hugging you in the middle of mental breakdown. It is the friend you welcome with wide arms no matter how long you haven't been in touch. And it's overwhelming when you do not need to ask anymore for something you want to have— the affection in a cold breeze, even without sex, just cuddling, knowing that the stars are your witnesses. It is realizing that you do not need to worry if someone flirtatiously talk to him/her, because you know he/she will never entertain them. It is sleeping peacefully knowing that when you wake up, you're still loved. Assurance is taming the demons in your head. And if ever you feel assured right now, thank your partner, for it is rare to find someone who never let the clouds in your head turn into raindrops.
