There is an absurd trend in our generation of showing off every small thing and posting it on social media. From showing off to keeping things private, I fixed many things in my life. When you start keeping your things private, you finally start to find peace in your life. Privacy is so important that when people around you don't know anything, they can't ruin it. Not everyone is necessarily happy with our happiness, some people's hearts would be on fire after seeing others happy. The sooner we realize this, the sooner we stop chasing the world, and change our priorities.

I agree with you. Yes, social media has exacerbated the superficial ego. Sure, many broadcast what they want to be, and in reality, are not. They should listen to you as to the goodness of staying more private. Not arousing envy in others would keep them away from many evils.
