TOPIC: WHAT A PRIVILEGE! By Pastor Sarah Joseph Jonathan TEXT: 2 Chronicles 29:11- "My sons, be not now negligent: for the LORD hath chosen you to stand before Him , to serve Him , and that ye should minister unto Him...." One of the greatest privilege we have in life is knowing about Jesus; the greatest is having Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. Many have heard about Jesus and how He came for the purpose of saving the world from sin, but not all have accepted Him as Lord and Saviour. I call it a great privilege to have heard about Christ, because not all are aware of Him, but it doesn't end at being aware. Have you made a commitment to Him? Are you following up your commitment with worthwhile service to Him? I see a lot of people throw away great opportunities to serve God and to know Him better while choosing to use their strength and time on things that will not be mentioned once this curtain (life) is closed. It doesn't speak wisdom. *If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.*(1 Corinthians 15:19) Revelation 2:4-5 admonishes us to remember our first love for God. When you first learnt of God's matchless love and the sacrifice of His Son for you, your heart leapt and you vowed to love and serve Him with your last breath, and to do whatever it takes to spread the good news.... Few years down the road and the fire that once blazed has become ash. Read our text again: *"..be not now negligent..."* You may have neglected God's plan for you in the past; it must not continue.... The reason being that God has chosen you to stand before Him, to serve Him, and to minister unto Him. You also have a stake in God's great plans. LET US PRAY: Heavenly father, I pray that I will no longer fail you. Help me to stand firm in You.... GOOD MORNING FRIENDS!!!!
