TOPIC *GOD CONFIDENCE* Text: Hebrews 10: 35- "Cast not therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward." Confidence is the strong and firm assurance that makes us do great things. David was still a youth when he faced the dreaded giant of Gath. Before David came to the scene, he stole the show and made men of war to cower behind. All David had and which put Him on the spotlight was his "over confidence' in God. It is in deed a lesson to all and sundry that, it is only those that know their God that will do exploits. If you don't know God the way David knew Him, unfulfilled dreams, failure, attacks and delay will make you ask like John The baptist: "Are you the one that is to come, or do we look for another?" (Matthew 11:3) The reason we are lagging behind is because our confidence lies mostly in our connections, our pastors, our certificates, our wealth, family, ability, and many others. And all of these are called 'the arm of flesh that fails.' There is however, an arm that is always reliable; Moses refered to it as the *'everlasting arms underneath'* The writer of Hebrews advises us not to cast away our confidence, which has a great reward. Don't toss it like you do to a shoe that made you unbalanced all day. Why? It is because in your confidence is a great reward waiting for you. We don't know how the reward will look like, we only know that it is a great one. Hallelujah! If you lack confidence in God, it means that you are not sure if He can help you. That's really a pity! How can we not but be confident in one who boldly proclaimed : "I am the way, the truth and the life...? One who made people gape in wonder and awe: "And they were astonished at His doctrine: for He taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes." (Mark 1:22) LET US PRAY: Father, help me to build confidence in you, and never doubt you. Good Morning and remain blessed as always!
