TOPIC: THE POWER OF DOMINION ÎTEXT: HOSEA 4:6-My people perish for lack of knowledge Everyone likes to be in charge and to give orders that will be carried out in seconds, but not all believers know about the power of God. Too many Christians abound who have never felt the transforming power of God that quickens dead men to righteousness. The first step to a life of dominion is to have been made a new creature; when sin no longer has dominion over you, the rest can fall into place if you are willing. In The next crucial step is to know who you are in Christ and what you can do through Him. If you don’t know who you are, you will miss out on life and probably go to heaven as a ‘Lazarus’ (a beggar). *“My people perish for lack of knowledge”* When Jesus, in John 10:30 said, “I and my father are one,” the Jews took up stones to stone Him, and when He asked why? They answered: "...because that thou being a man make thyself God.” This is Jesus’ eye opening reply to them: is“Is it not written in your law, I said ‘ye are gods?” If He called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken.” (V.35)* Beloved, there is a written word concerning you, and it says: “I have given you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”* (Luke 10:19). Jesus had to refer to the Old Testament in order to make the Jews know that the almighty God created them as gods and no less. It is also an eye opener to us that we can do what God says we can do, have what He said we can have, and be what He said we can be. That is where Adam and his Eve missed it; they were created as gods, but chose to be ignorant of it- the devil told them: "you will be like God.”î When they were already gods. What do you know about your position in Christ? For a start: I have the mind of Christ(1Corinthians2:16); I am a joint heir with Christ(Romans 8:17); I shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover(Mark 16:18); Devils are subject to me(Luke 10:17); I am the head and not the tail in is(Deuteronomy28:13); I am the light of the world (Matthew5:14); By His stripes, I am healed(Isaiah 53:5); I have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and translated into the kingdom of His dear son(Colossians.1:13); My sins are forgiven(Colossians. 1:14); I have the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind(2Timothy1:7); and The devil flees from me when I resist him(James 4:7). Now that you know who you are in Christ, go and dominate your world. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God (Romans 8:19) LET US PRAY: Thank you father for who I am in Christ.
